Penn Public Health Society (PPHS) is the student-led society for the University of Pennsylvania's Masters of Public Health Program. PPHS was founded in 2004 and was recognized as the official student organization soon after its inception. The society exists to connect MPH students outside the classroom setting, inform students about key events and opportunities, and contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the MPH program. Together with the Master of Public Health program and Center for Public Health Initiatives (CPHI), the Penn Public Health Society contributes to public health efforts on the local, national, and global scale.
In this homepage, you will find helpful information about PPHS, its history, development, and future direction. A listing of PPHS student leadership and contact information are available here as well. Local events, both social and public health-related, are posted and updated daily on the PPHS Canvas page. Events that are regularly posted include: potlucks, game nights, happy hours, conferences, talks/discussions, Philadelphia town-hall meetings, local seminars, and university-wide public health related events. On the professional side, stay tuned for public health fellowships, grants, job openings, internships, and other opportunities posted by the Master of Public Health program and Center for Public Health Initiatives (CPHI).
