ABOUT US: 
Penn Policy Consulting Group (PPC) is a nonpartisan, pre-professional student organization presenting student-led research on and policy solutions for pressing issues in local, federal, and international government systems. In recent years, we’ve partnered with leading organizations – such as Freedom House, UNFPA, UNICEF and Hyundai America – on policy projects, white papers, and youth engagement strategies, sat down with UN Ambassadors and diplomats, and conducted hundreds of successful policy meetings with Senators, Congressional Representatives, and Congressional staffers.
PPC envisions a world where students and youth are recognized as stakeholders in key policy decisions. The group partners with other student organizations, professors, and stakeholder NGOs and CSOs every semester to conduct professional-level policy research and present this research in policy meetings with government officials in Philadelphia, Capitol Hill, and the United Nations. PPC's overarching goal is to help students, clients, and partner organizations translate their original ideas, research, and perspectives into policy analysis that can better our society.
OUR MISSION: 
We are dedicated to creating policy impact through advocacy, storytelling, and informed research. As one of the very few student organizations that maintain regular advocacy functions at the UN and Capitol Hill, PPC is explicitly focused on translating on-campus discussions and student research to concrete policy action. This dedication to inspiring positive social change and representing the youth voice in the policy discourse constitutes the pillar of our group's philosophy.
PPC offers staff members an experiential opportunity to civically engage with elected officials and imagine bold, creative, and youthful solutions to important social issues in the US and beyond.&nbsp;
OUR IMPACT: 
Domestic: Penn Policy Consulting Group is at the forefront of political discussions, research, and advocacy on some of the most critical social and political issues affecting youth across the nation. PPC has scheduled one-on-one interviews and attended policy meetings with four US Senators, seven representatives, and numerous Congressional staffers. PPC organizes 1-2 Congressional events every semester and has led more than 100 policy meetings with pertinent Congressional staffers. In addition, PPC has developed close working relationships with Philadelphia city government officials, presenting their research to City Councilmembers and other local leaders and working alongside local thought leaders to formulate effective policy change.&nbsp;
Multilateral Institutions and the UN: PPC is proud to serve as one of the few student organizations that engages and enriches the policy discourse within the UN body. Since successfully launching its first multilateral project in 2018, the group has developed robust working relationships with key Permanent Missions to the UN, the UN Secretariat, and various UN agencies. PPC has completed 15 UN briefings – including interviews with seven Ambassadors and six Counselors – with officials from the Permanent Missions (Embassies) of France, Germany, Belgium, South Korea, European Union, Japan, Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Switzerland, and Bulgaria.
Partnerships: PPC enjoys vibrant and productive relationships with some of the top CSOs and NGOs in Washington, D.C. and New York. To name a few, we have worked with staff members at Freedom House, UNFPA, UNICEF-USA, UNICEF, Hyundai Motor America, and American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). The entrepreneurial spirit behind our pursuits allows us to expand our policy reach and engage with key stakeholders in a wide spectrum of topics every semester.
