Club Mission

Penn Ping Pong is a student group at the University of Pennsylvania that holds open practices. No tryouts or time commitments are required to join the club, so drop by any practice to say hi and play some ping pong!

If you're interested in competition, we have a recreational team that plays friendly scrimmages and a competitive team that travels to play schools around the country. Whether you are a beginner, an accomplished tournament player, or just someone looking to have fun - we have a place for you in our club!

Tuesdays 5:30 - 7:30 PM, Thursdays 5:30 to 7:30 PM, and Sunday 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Weightman Hall. First practice starts on Sept. 2nd!

Come to our practice to try out for the competitive team! Official tryouts will be in the fall, but you are always welcome to compete with other members on the ladder to gain a spot. Please email us if you have interest!

Hi, we do have club equipment for anyone who doesn't have their own. If you do have a paddle, though, we recommend you bring it in case we run out of equipment to loan. Thanks for asking, and let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi, we usually send a coed team and a women's team to intercollegiate tournaments, both with 8 members. In 2019-20, we had 2 members of the women's team also play on the coed team. Thanks for your interest!

How to Get Involved

To join the club, simply show up to any practice. If you're interested in our competitive teams or representing the school at intercollegiate tournaments, talk to a club officer for more information.

Practice times for Fall 2025:

  • Sunday, 4:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Tuesday, 5:30pm - 7:30pm
  • Thursday, 5:30pm - 7:30pm

First practice is on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Practices will be held at Weightman Hall (Google Maps Link).
