Club Mission

I. Statement of Purpose
WasteWise at Penn (WWP) is a student-driven organization dedicated to improving waste management practices and promoting sustainability awareness across campus. By fostering a culture of responsible waste disposal and innovative solutions, we aim to make waste diversion a fundamental part of campus life.
Objectives:

1. Design and Develop Educational Materials:

  • Create engaging and informative content tailored to student audiences.
  • Host workshops, campaigns, and events to teach proper recycling practices and encourage waste reduction behaviors.

2. Collaboration with Penn Office of Sustainability:

  • Facilitate communication between students and the Sustainability Office to share insights on waste trends, behavior patterns.

II. Membership Criteria:

1. Student Status: Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania.
2. Demonstrated Interest: Show interest in waste management, sustainability education, or related fields.
3. Commitment: Ability to participate in meetings. Willingness to contribute to educational materials, event planning, and other projects.
