BioArt Lab is a student-run organization at Penn dedicated to exploring the intersection of art, biology, and community impact. We partner with local Philadelphia schools to design and host interactive, hands-on workshops that spark creativity and curiosity. Our goal is to foster a collaborative space to introduce students to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). We also plan to host an annual Art & Science Exposition displaying student works to fundraise for school supplies and educational resources for participating schools.
In our pilot sessions, we reached over 60 students at the Workshop School, and this year we aim to expand to more classrooms across Philadelphia. Whether you’re passionate about biology, design, or education, BioArt Lab welcomes volunteers to help us grow our reach!
