PennPIRG Students work with professional staff at colleges and universities across Pennsylvania to make sure our peers have the skills, opportunities and training they need to create a better, more sustainable future for all of us.
We work on public interest issues like youth civic engagement, climate change, and food insecurity. Last fall in Pennsylvania, we launched the New Voters Project, our non-partisan youth voter mobilization effort to help first-time voters have the tools they need to get registered and turn out to vote.
This Spring, our focus is our Hunger and Houselessness Campaign. Nobody, regardless of background or income, should have to worry if they will eat or where they will sleep each night. We will work to support local food pantries as well as educate students and people in West Philly about opportunities available to them.
