Pi Lambda Sigma (POLIS) is the University of Pennsylvania's premier professional government society. A nonpartisan club designed for students interested in pursuing a career in government, POLIS provides an undergraduate network of students with a passion for politics and prepares fellows for careers in their respective fields. POLIS connects students from across the University with professionals in government to enhance their ability to pursue related careers. The organization prides itself on its community and seeks to organize social events that bring their fellows together.
POLIS will invite distinguished speakers in the field and host events for the greater Penn community. The organization will also train fellows to learn how to enter a career in government through workshops in networking how-tos, LinkedIn, USAJobs, resume and cover letter building, internship strategizing, and coffee chats. POLIS further aims to create a network of alumni to assist current POLIS fellows in launching their careers.
