Club Mission

Penn Speech and Debate facilitates undergraduate competition in NFA Lincoln-Douglas debate and sponsored speech events including persuasion, extemporaneous, impromptu, rhetorical criticism, informative, after dinner, prose, poetry, and dramatic duo.

How to Get Involved

Tryouts are held at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters. We expect that members will come consistently to our weekly practice, and have practiced if they are presenting a piece they've worked on. Other than that, just bring an open mind.
