SNAP is the School of Nursing’s oldest undergraduate student organization that is committed to creating programming and opportunities for nursing students. Our programming includes studying tips, career advice from SON faculty/classmates, tips on securing an externship, community service initiatives, community building events such as painting socials, wellness walks, and our annual Nursing Formal, and so much more! Enjoy free lunches and learn more about how to become active in the School of Nursing.
SNAP prides itself on being an organization that helps nursing undergraduates opportunities, resources, and platforms to develop leadership that will extend from the classroom, the hospital, and beyond.

SNAP

SNAP provides opportunities for you to grow as a future nurse leader. In addition to programming almost every week at Penn, SNAP funds travel to state and national student nurse conventions for members. It also provides opportunities for students to earn scholarships from various organizations and network with students at Penn Nursing and from other nursing schools. There are also fun social events like Nursing Formal and cookie decorating. The best part about SNAP is that it supports a wide range of interests and that membership is open to anyone!

The Student Nurses at Penn’s Executive Board works tirelessly each semester to provide exclusive programming to members such as: “How to Survive Anatomy”, “Dealing with Clinical Emotions” and “Medsurg Tips & Tricks”. However, SNAP does not focus solely on academics- we also plan social events, networking opportunities, volunteering activities, Penn Nursing merch drops, and more. Any undergrad in the school of nursing (traditional & ABSN) is welcome to attend as many or as few events as they please. We recommend that all undergrads sign up for our listserv (www.tinyurl.com/joinsnap22) to stay up to date on our programming. Each event that SNAP schedules is associated with a point value, and students can track their points for the opportunity to become active members (you only need 5 points each semester!!). Active members have access to exclusive events and benefits!
