We Can Swim! is dedicated to teaching critical swimming skills to those who need it most. We offer free lessons to kindergarten through 6th grade children from West Philadelphia and other Philly communities. Conveniently located on Penn's campus, our instructors are all student volunteers, and We Can Swim! is a student group at the University of Pennsylvania. 
In light of recent events, we will also focus on helping underserved youth and the swimming community in different ways other than directly holding swimming lessons. If you have any interest in getting involved, <ins>click the subscribe button to join our listserv!</ins>

We Can Swim!

Teaching critical swimming skills to underserved communities

We Can Swim! members are basically the instructors for the swim lessons we hold each spring. Each year there are 6 weekends in which we open up free swimming lessons to children in the local Philadelphia area. This year members will have the opportunity to share ideas and execute projects that will help serve the West Philly and swimming communities in other ways besides direct swimming lessons. There are GBMs and other optional social events spread throughout the year. There are also a few executive positions offered each year.
