WRISE @Penn is a chapter of the national organization WRISE, or Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy. Our mission is to build a community of women at Penn who are interested in renewable energy and sustainability. Through this club, members will gain insight into the professional careers of our guest speakers and will get the chance to connect with women working in sustainable industries, such as environmental engineering, ESG investing, and clean energy. The national organization WRISE has chapters in every state with women looking to help lift other women up into their sustainable professions. By joining WRISE @Penn, we can facilitate connection to a WRISE chapter in your city of interest. Here at Penn, we host guest speakers, peer mentoring, resume workshops, networking events, and social gatherings. Anyone is welcome to join who identifies as a woman or non-binary.
