<p>Judo is a grappling martial art that includes throws, pins, chokes, and armbars. We compete at local competitions, as well as the annual PCJA college tournament. We welcome all skill levels, so come try out a session with us! <br><br>Penn Judo Club is a student group at the University of Pennsylvania, and is affiliated with the Philadelphia Collegiate Judo Association, which is an umbrella organization that includes college clubs at Swarthmore, St. Joseph's, Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and West Chester University.</p>

Penn Judo Club

The Judo club provided me with some of my best friends and memories at Penn. Not only do we have a great atmosphere at practice, but we also get together to do fun things outside of practice. One of my fondest memories is one time after practice where the club got together for pizza and then did an Escape Room together. Solving the puzzle and finding all the clues with some of my best friends stuck with me as one of my most fun times at Penn!

The Judo Club is a great way for people to get into Martial Arts at Penn. All experience levels are welcome, so it doesn't matter if you've been doing Judo for years or if you've never tried at all! We generally have one 2-hour practice a week, but if you're willing to put in more time, we generally have gym workout sessions with the club and additional practices available as well. Overall, the Judo Club is a great community for anyone looking for a manageable yet fun commitment to Martial Arts and a great group of people!
